From the Honourable Jury’s point of view
June 20th, 2008By Diana Georgieva
We all want to prepare our kids so that they have a bright future and realize their dreams. By encouraging them to show initiative and be clever and creative, we help them grow up stronger and more prepared for the battles in life. The CHOOSE LIFE initiative of Eurolink Investment Group started in 2007 with the idea of giving opportunities to the young people of
This year’s arts event challenged them to express themselves in their own way – either with a drawing or by singing songs– there was something for everyone.
The children were divided into two age groups and participated in two different activities – a Song Competition (age 3-7) and a Drawing Competition (age 3-7).
I was honoured to be a member of the jury for the Talents Competition and I was very impressed by the great enthusiasm and imagination the kids had put into their presentations. The singers were all very well-prepared, wearing special costumes and most also had choreography for the songs. The drawings, inspired by the Sea and its fascinating underwater world, were so professionally done, that could be hung in the National Arts Gallery!
At the end of the competition the best performers were rewarded with prizes and certificates. But the greatest reward to everyone was the satisfaction to have been part of it and we all enjoyed one beautiful summer day, made even brighter by the kids’ happy smiles. Well done!
