Once again…lots of fun, gifts, prizes and the happy faces of kids. What more can one want? Especially when our daily lives are busy and full of trivial problems. This year’s CHOOSE LIFE events, were a Football Tournament and a Talent Competition which included both Music and Art.

Everything was ready: playground, football fields, referees and secretary from the Bulgarian Football Union, Doctors, Security, Jury, participants, decoration, prizes and refreshments.

Both events, with the assistance of the Municipality of Varna, took place on Saturday, 14^th June, at the Municipal Sports and Entertainment complex “Mladost” in Varna.

First to begin was the Talent Competition at the Children’s Playground. The competition was divided into 2 categories: Drawing, with “Sea” as theme, and Song, which was freestyle.

It was a fantastic sunny day, everyone was so excited and all participants were very well prepared with their songs and drawings. The Competition was opened and presented by a lovely fairy, which amused the kids during the whole event. 11 brave, talented and sweet kids performed their beautiful songs, while 52 drawings made by gifted young artists, were displayed on the playground’s fence, combining to creating an exciting atmosphere of sound and colour. There were gifts for all kids, and CHOOSE LIFE T-shirts and refreshments for all participants, which were well received.

The first 3 places received certificates of achievement. The winner of Best Drawing, Mihaela Raikova was awarded a voucher of € 100 for an Arts Store, and for Best Song, winner Goran Ivanov earned a voucher for € 100 for participating at a Bulgarian Musical TV Kid’s Show “Who is more-more-the most” due in September this year.

The Football Tournament, at the neighbouring football ground was very keenly contested and popular affair. Stel Violaris, who was in charge of the tournament, provides his take on the events later on in this Newsletter. Much fun was had by all and gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded for the leading 3 places. As well as the medals and the Eurolink Cup, vouchers for € 100 each for a Sports Store were awarded to the 8 Champions.

We appeal to you!

Following the event and due to the high quality of the majority of the entrants for the art competition, we have decided to hold a charity art auction. All drawings, which remained with us from the art competition, have been put up in the office and available for sale with a reserve price of € 10. Many have already attracted bids, with our staff competing against each other for their favourites. This auction is now also open to our clients and friends online at this page». The funds collected will be used to purchase essentials for an orphanage in the region of Varna.
