AIESEC is the biggest international platform established to develop young and perspective people. As a world wide organization AIESEC exists for 60 years, and in Bulgaria operates in some of the best universities for nearly 18 years. AIESEC originates as a global program for educational exchange, and today its purpose is to discover young peoples’ potential and to develop their leadership competencies and some specific skills needed for their successfully realization in today’s and tomorrow’s dynamic business environment.
One of the best AIESEC practices is organizing international leadership conferences. A conference of such large dimensions was organized for the first time by the Varna local office of AIESEC from 13th to 16th of March /International Lead the Leaders Conference 2008/ with the great support of Eurolink Investment Group as a general partner of the event. The International Lead the Leaders Conference 2008 in Balchik became the biggest AIESEC conference in Central Eastern Europe for 2008. Present were the best Bulgarian and foreign students, corporate sector representatives, experienced Bulgarian and international trainers and facilitators, alumni. They all united around the idea of leadership, the social responsible business and the positive impact that young people can have in society.
Providing series of interactive trainings, the conference contributed to the development of leadership competencies and skills and to building a sustainable mindset and social responsibility as a leading behavior in the students. The International Lead the Leaders Conference 2008 also contributed to creating an appropriate environment for sharing experience and ideas and for building a network of long-lasting contacts between the AIESEC members, alumni, business sector representatives - the partners of AIESEC for the conference, among which the company Eurolink Investment Group distinguished itself.
An extremely useful experience for the over 90 delegates of the conference - students from Bulgaria and the world, was the Official opening of the International Lead the Leaders Conference 2008, when they had the chance to participate in a discussion around the topic of leadership together with real business leaders such as Mr. Christopher Violaris, Mr. Alexander Nikolov and other representatives of Eurolink Investment Group.
Another event that pursued the conference was the official dinner, where the organizers of the International Lead the Leaders Conference 2008 expressed their thanks to the general partner Eurolink Investment Group for the support and honored Mr. Violaris, on behalf of AIESEC in Varna, with a charter that recognized him as a real social responsible leader, who contributes for developing young and ambitious people.
